If student decides they would like to withdrawal from a class, they can do so anytime PRIOR to OCT 1ST. All unused classes will be fully refunded

  • Do you offer a Trial Class?

Yes we do :) All students new to the studio are able to take one trial class of their choice.

  • How is your facility different than others in the area?

There are numerous, but one of our highlights is that AXIS hires and employees teachers who are still actively performing and working in the industry. We don’t have these professional teachers just teach during “guest” spot. These still active professionals are who will be teaching your children throughout the year. Students will train with NYC professionals so they can be prepared for wherever their dance passions take them in life.

  • Will there be recitals/performances?

Yes. There will be two showcases (recitals) each year. One will be at the end of our fall/winter semester and another at the end of our winter/spring semester. All friends and family are welcome to attend.

  • Will you participating in local/region/national competitions?

At AXIS School of Dance we will be offering students the ability to attend various conventions, allowing the students to be exposed to various teaching styles, artists and training styles. Conventions allow our dancers to train in an audition style format with students from around the world. This atmosphere not only allows for a more versatile dancer, but prepares them for what a typical audition would be like. However, we do encourage (but is not required) juniors and seniors to participate in the conventions solo competitions to help them become accustom to the audition atmosphere.

  • Do you offer any training or post high school preparation for those graduating from your facility?

We know not every student will want to continue on post high school and that’s ok! We want every student to go as little or as far as they wish. For those that do want to take their dancing on post graduating, we will offer numerous classes and routes, so your child can feel ready for the professional world. Students at their junior and/or senior year will have the opportunity to compete via solo during conventions. Students will work on solos that they wish to use for auditions and use the solo competition to practice and prepare for being in front of judges. Students will also be allowed to enroll in a “audition preparedness” course which will cover things such as proper resume, how to put together your reels etc.

  • Do you offer private lessons

Absolutely. Whether your child wants to improve their technique, work on a specific genre or work on a solo, we offer 1 hour private sessions as little or as often as you need.

  • Is there a minimum or maximum classes my child can take?

We are here to meet your child wherever they are on their dance journey. You can take as little as one class a week or as many as are offered for their age group.

  • Do you offer drop-ins or only semester registration?

We work via enrollment for an entire semester. This means your child will have a weekly class/classes that build on each other each week, allowing your child to reach their full potential as well as learn a performance piece each semester for a showcase/recital as the end of the term.

  • How much do classes cost?

Classes vary based on level and number of classes taken. You can view our full pricing breakdown on the “schedule” tab.
